FAB Revised Submission to World Medical Association:
In the summer of 2007, the FAB Committee on the Declaration of Helsinki submitted recommendations to the World Medical Association. The task charged to the committee was to suggest revisions on behalf of FAB to the Declaration of Helsinki, the major international statement regarding ethical principles for medical research involving human subjects. Committee members included Lisa Eckenwiler, chair (USA), Dafna Feinholz (Mexico), Toby Schonfeld (USA) and Carolyn Ells (Canada). The World Medical Association made changes based on solicited comments and sought further input on these changes.
